Champions Get Behind Team GB’s Davis Cup Star Dominic Inglot

Jamie Murray and Dom Inglot

We’re massive tennis fans here at Champions (UK) plc and have watched the superb Davis Cup exploits of a resurgent Great Britain team with glee in recent months and years.

Now, as the Team GB squad prepares to resume hostilities against our traditional Australian sporting foes in the World Group Semi-Final this weekend, we are delighted to announce that Champions are to sponsor the Men’s Doubles star Dominic Inglot for the contest at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow.

Dominic is in fine form, having recorded his best ever Grand Slam result last week when he reached the US Open Men’s Doubles Semi-Final with his partner, Sweden’s Robert Lindstedt, at Flushing Meadow in New York, so we are sure he will put in a stunning performance.

He is due to take to the court alongside Jamie Murray, who, having finished runner-up in New York at the weekend, is himself in a great seam of form. The Great Britain line-up is completed by the surprise call-up of 25 year old Dan Evans and the 2013 Wimbledon Champion Andy Murray. The 28 year old Scot’s leadership alongside British Captain Leon Smith has led to an amazing transformation for the squad, from Zone Group III relegation candidates in 2010 to genuine contenders for a title the team has missed out on since 1936.

It is our great honour to support Dominic and Team GB in such prominent fashion and we’ll all be cheering on the squad between Friday and Sunday as they look to push past the Aussies and reach their first Davis Cup Final in 34 years.

Dominic is scheduled to play on Saturday afternoon, so be sure to fly the flag and get behind the boys.

You can catch all the action from 1pm on BBC1 or, if you’re on the move, listen to commentary on BBC Radio 5 Live or follow events on the BBC Sport website and app.

Champions (UK) plc and all the staff here wish Dominic and his teammates in the Great Britain squad the very best of luck!
