The Toast of Surrey Business Awards are back with nominations opening on Thursday 26th January. The awards are always a spectacular opportunity to put Surrey’s most innovative businesses in the spotlight and showcase what they have achieved over the past 12 months.
The business awards have taken place annually since their inauguration back in 2009, and after seven years of the glittering event, 2017 will see them undergo a few changes to ensure the event continues to shine in the county.
Experts in organising events across the length and breadth of the country, the awards have been placed under the wing of Champions (UK) plc – an East Midlands-based brand agency fully equipped with the imagination and skill to take the business awards to the next level.
The agency’s Managing Director, Matthew Hayes said of their involvement, “everyone at Champions (UK) plc are thrilled to be brought on as the event organisers. The awards are clearly a key part of Surrey’s business community. As with all of the events we organise we have a great vision for the awards and we are confident that with our help they will continue to grow in prestige”.
This year the awards will take place on 28 June at the contemporary venue, Mercedes-Benz World, with hundreds of guests, including some famous faces, set to attend. Host and well-known comedian, Mark Dolan and TV weather presenter Emma Jesson will be the hosts for the evening. Guests will be welcomed to the venue with a Champagne reception before enjoying a three-course dinner and evening entertainment as well as the exciting award presentation.
As with previous years, awards are up for grabs in a number of categories, but new for 2017 they have been given a re-vamp to allow and encourage more businesses to get involved. There are now 13 awards including:
Company of the Year

Ramsac and Surrey Business School are two local businesses who have already got on board as category sponsors. Sponsorship of the awards is intrinsic to not only ensuring the awards remain a prominent part of Surrey’s business life, but for maintaining a great relationship with fellow businesses in the region. Category sponsorship brings with it a wide range of benefits including great exposure for your own business, and there are still a number of opportunities available.
