Champions (UK) plc recently secured our client, Paul Cummins a prominent 8-page feature in the February 2015 edition of Marketing Magazine, which is the UK's leading title providing marketing news and insights for the marketing industry.
Paul also edited the Craft section of the magazine, where he discussed how art feeds creativity and overcomes barriers, and chose his favourite marketing campaigns of January 2015, giving reasons for his choices.
Paul is most famous for his design and creation of Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red installation – 888,246 poppies which were on display at the Tower of London to commemorate the British soldiers who lost their lives during the First World War. He received a well-publicised MBE for his work in February of this year.
Our Public Relations team were able to secure him an exclusive interview with The Sunday Times during February in order for him to publicise his future work. The interview revealed that he received a number of misconceived death threats in the wake of the Tower of London project and the story was subsequently picked up by every national newspaper except The Sun.
As a result, our team then dealt with a deluge of media enquiries and managed a full programme of crisis communications, creating and disseminating press releases and preparing statements on Paul’s behalf.
Champions (UK) plc has been working closely with Paul to secure him various media opportunities during a key time in his career. We are looking forward to continuing to secure him new opportunities in the future as he embarks on exciting new projects.
