Champions Celebrates With The Annual Charity Ball
A string of celebrities from the worlds of sports, music and entertainment descended on Leicester’s King Power Stadium once again to take part in the Champions Annual Celebrity Ball, successfully raising crucial funds for Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. Combining a West End theme with a nod to Burns Night, the ball was attended by more than 480 guests eager to get involved with its various charity fundraising activities.
Attended by the likes of David Moorcroft OBE, Kellie Maloney, Andy Abraham, Piers Linney, Ben Smith, Craig Phillips, Gary Newbon MBE, Mark Dolan, Neil Back, Spencer Fearon, Matthew Hoggard, William Roache, Matt Elliott, Shaun Wallace and many more, the event built further upon a longstanding tradition. Now in its 18th year, the ball has continued to capture the attention of some of the UK’s most popular A-listers.
The evening’s entertainment included performances from magician Ben Hanlin, as well as featuring music from the likes of Adrian Dixon & Caron Pascoe, the West End Jerseys and Take a Chance. As if that weren’t enough, the evening was hosted by British athletics legend Derek Redmond.
The event unfolded with guests being treated to a Lion King meet and greet before enjoying a champagne reception. The event’s main and silent auctions soon followed, both of which were left in the capable hands of celebrity auctioneer Charlie Ross. As a result, the ball proved to be yet another exciting addition to this year’s charity fundraising calendar.
