At Champions, we pride ourselves on building long-lasting partnerships and our relationship with ITV is no exception. As we move further into 2019 we are delighted to have added a new dimension to our partnership with leading television network ITV.
Last week, we collaborated with the team at ITV to host an exclusive event that celebrated the power of TV and the way in which it continues to help brands to thrive in the modern market.
Held at the famous ITV studios in Birmingham, our guests had the exciting opportunity to go behind the scenes during a live news broadcast and see how news is planned and reported across the region.
After, they were treated to an evening of private dining and fascinating talks from a number of ITV’s Directors, learning more about the network’s new offering for regional businesses.
As part of their vision for the future, ITV has recently launched a new commercial strategy that involves providing new initiatives to support brands that enjoy fast-track growth. And, as a rapidly-growing business and close partner for over 17 years, Champions team saw a reason for celebration.
Having personally worked with ITV’s Kim Davenport for more than 35 years, our founder and CEO John Hayes believes that the new initiative presents a great opportunity for businesses in the Midlands to learn more about how can utilise television as part of their growth.
He said: “The team at ITV are really dedicated to finding new ways of helping businesses to accelerate growth through the power of TV advertising.
“Over the years, our partnership with ITV has continued to grow and we couldn’t think of better sponsors for our Midlands Business Awards. Their work is really helping to supercharge regional business growth and it’s fantastic to see so many businesses making the most of this exciting opportunity.”
Inspiring our guests about the world of TV, Liz Hannam, Head of News, Jason Spencer, Business Development Director and Christy Swords, Director of Finance and Operations all delivered fascinating speeches about different areas of the organisation. Together, they offered insight into the evolution of ITV over the past twenty years as well as illustrating how they continue to work with businesses today.
Leading the talks on how ITV is supercharging growth for brands in many different ways, Jason explained how the scheme is for businesses of all sizes.
He also talked about the launch of ITV Business, their new self-serve portal for SMEs to manage their own VOD campaigns on ITV Hub. The move stands testament to ITV’s commitment to finding innovative ways to support small businesses going forward.
The night was a huge success and we are glad so many of our guests enjoyed a unique networking opportunity.
This year ITV are sponsoring our Business Awards for Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, Derby and Nottingham. If you would like to find out more about becoming a sponsor too, contact our team today on [email protected].
