On Thursday 19th September, after months of anticipation, hard work and tough decisions, the Coventry Business Excellence Awards 2019 took place. The event saw members of Coventry and Warwickshire’s thriving business community come together to celebrate the achievements of local brands over the past 12 months. Both SME’s and market leaders from a range of sectors were recognised at the ceremony, with XL Motors winning the highly contested Company of the Year title.
Awards from 14 categories were handed out last night, including titles such as Business Entrepreneur of the Year and Not-for-Profit Organisation of the Year. Some of the other categories were: Professional Services Award, SME Business of the Year, Family Business of the Year and Excellence in Industry Award. There were some great category sponsors on board this year, including HSBC, Janine Edwards Wealth Management Ltd, TELA and adi Group, to mention but a few.

The Lord’s Taverners Charity
With hundreds of people in attendance on Thursday 19th September, the Coventry Business Excellence Awards presented a fantastic opportunity to raise valuable funds. The Lord’s Taverners is one of the UK’s leading youth cricket and disability sports charity, dedicated to giving disadvantaged and disabled young people a sporting chance. They support some of the most marginalised and at-risk young people in the UK, by creating opportunities for them to engage in sport and recreational activities in their local communities.
Upcoming Events
With the Coventry Business Excellence Awards now complete, the awards team are preparing for the Birmingham Business Excellence Awards. Held at the ICC on Thursday 7th November, the event is due to be a sell-out, acknowledging the success of businesses in Birmingham.
