Brief
To create viral videos as part of Betsafe’s activation around their status as ‘Official Betting Partner’ Manchester City FC, generating maximum benefits from the agreement.
Delivery
As part of a broad palette of activity we carried out in support of the activation, including a series of cross-channel promotions, we engaged players, including Gael Clichy, Willy Caballero, Jesus Navas and Aleksandar Kolarov to film a series of light-hearted Freekickerz videos. Given Betsafe’s involvement in a range of different sports, developed concepts including ‘Football Darts’ and ‘Football Tennis’, for the players to test their skills in unrelated sports. We took care of all elements of production and sourced large-scale equipment, such as a 20’ inflatable dartboard and inflatable American football goals.
Outcome
Pushed out on the social platforms of both Betsafe and Manchester City, the videos have been something of a viral hit. To date, they have clocked up over 1.7 million YouTube views on top of the exposure gained via channels such as Facebook.
