Brief
Conscious of our successful body of work with and high-level access to leading UK finance and private equity houses, ITV Studios approached us aiming to engage with a cohort of key decision-makers. Its aim was to present directly to them the benefits of advertising on ITV platforms for organisations seeking to realise significant additional value on the back private equity investment and M&A activity.
Delivery
We recommended to ITV Studios that we run a series of three intimate private dinners at their headquarters and studios, using our access to secure the attendance of key figures from target finance houses. Our team then set about identifying an invitation list of what represented something of a ‘who’s who’ of the British finance world. We reached out to the targeted individuals and looked after all elements of event entertainment planning and management, guest liaison, design and materials production. Taking place in late 2018 and early 2019, the events were held at ITV’s Birmingham facility and its MediaCityUK studios in Manchester, and enabled the organisation to give its guests tailored tours of the facilities, giving them insights into how its output is created. That was followed by fine dining and presentations on the benefits and mechanics of advertising through ITV, delivered by Champions, ITV’s Group CFO, Chris Kennedy, and its Business Development Director, Jason Spencer.
Outcome
ITV Studios was able to engage directly and in-depth with the level of finance and private equity decision-makers it desired. As a snapshot of the access Champions enjoys to this rarefied world, the events were attended by C-suite figures from the Liquidity Club, Dynamic Wealth, Nucleus Corporate Finance, KPMG, Jasper Private Equity, Market Gravity, North Edge Capital and Catalyst Finance to name but a few.
