We identified Leicester Tigers as the most popular rugby team in the league, attracting the most national TV coverage - as Mattioli Woods are based in Leicestershire it was a logical sponsorship relationship to develop. We negotiated a 3-year multi-million pound deal that secured shirt and stand sponsorship, adding value with guaranteed high value TV and press coverage during rugby matches. Leicester Tigers provided Mattioli Woods with access to their database so they could target communications directly at fans directly and we were able to secure Mattioli Woods’ appointment as wealth management partner for the players.
The partnership has increased national coverage for Mattioli Woods. With our help, their share price on the London Stock Exchange has more than quadrupled in the five years since our involvement. It rose from 183.00 in March 2012 to 773.50 in March 2017, recently breaking the £8 barrier for the first time. The firm firm now oversees over £7.5 billion of client assets.
