Brief
To devise a comprehensive strategy aimed at improving the flow of information to our internal staff, fostering improved engagement and team cohesion.
Delivery
To ensure new starters are educated on our working culture and offering, we created a thorough induction guide and invested heavily in a successful training programme using the findings of cognitive assessments carried out by Thomas International. We use monthly eNewsletters to detail business wins and social events, and to introduce new starters. Monthly meetings are held to inform staff of new developments and for management to read out ‘Above & Beyond’ recommendations that staff have made about individual colleagues who have gone the extra mile in pursuing successful operational and client outcomes. We also hold a monthly draw for 24 staff massages, provide pilates and bootcamp classes in our internal gym and provide fruit baskets to ensure healthy options are close at hand.
Outcome
We have helped new starters become productive and integrate with the Champions Family more smoothly. We have removed a layer of operational opacity, with management now finding it easier to garner feedback on, and reward the individual contributions of staff. We have found that staff retention has dramatically increased as a result of our strategy, and that the atmosphere and sense of togetherness in the team has visibly improved, giving us impressive productivity returns.
