The DBS checking service, eSafeguarding, was planning to totally refresh its brand and website, channelling the expertise from its parent company, The Protocol Group. eSafeguarding came to Champions in need of help to push the launch of its updated brand, making it more attractive to current, new and potential customers. 

The Brief 

Champions was tasked with the job of improving the eSafeguarding website and logo, and updating the content on the website to entice users to visit the site. This entailed giving credibility to eSafeguarding's reputation as a DBS check provider, and increasing brand awareness, creating noise about the upgraded eSafeguarding brand all together. 

The Strategy 

In order to achieve this, Champions crafted a brand-new website for eSafeguarding with a more user-friendly design, with updated, clearer messaging, along with SEO content to improve brand visibility. 

1 – A New and Improved Website

Champions could see that eSafeguarding needed a stronger online presence, with a sleek, polished website that had a much more streamlined user journey, including clearer call-to-actions as well as a more straight-forward pricing policy.  

The new design increased the brand’s authoritative feel, giving it a professional edge to complement its service offerings. The new logo and colour palette improved the overall impact of the website, with a more visual and inviting user journey. 

2 – More Distinct, Relevant Messaging

When reviewing eSafeguarding’s website and content, the strategy team at Champions discovered that the messaging could be tightened to more effectively convey eSafeguarding’s brand identity and service offering.  

Now, the website has a slightly amplified focus towards its clients, highlighting how eSafeguarding doesn’t only support individuals in need of DBS checks, but also caters to brands and businesses looking to carry out DBS checks. 

3 – SEO Website Content

Champions carried out keyword research for eSafeguarding to weave throughout its website, ensuring that it would appear higher up on the Google results pages. With the use of keywords, achieving higher levels of visibility and engagement would contribute to the increase of eSafeguarding’s brand awareness. 

The Results 

As a result of the work we have completed for eSafeguarding, the following achievements were accomplished:

Of those users, 1,470 people actively clicked through to the website.

Ranking for highly competitive search terms

The website is showing up for highly competitive key words, such as receiving 663 impressions for ‘enhanced DBS checks’.
