Brief
To organise and execute a 4 day televised golf event for over 300 golfers with two Celeb-Am Days, two days of professional Championship golf and three gala dinners.
Delivery
We managed all elements of the event, including team and sponsorship sales, liaison with Sky TV and the PGA, and organisation of the tented village and its 14 exhibitors. We handled health and safety checks, security, accommodation, celebrity management and full organisation of the three gala dinners. The 56 pro golfers who took part alongside host Tony Jacklin CBE in 2016 included Paul Lawrie OBE, Ian Woosnam OBE, Sam Torrance OBE, Tommy Horton MBE, Eddie Pepperell and Tommy Fleetwood. We welcomed 70 celebrities from the worlds of sport and entertainment, such as Sir Alex Ferguson, Sir Bobby Charlton, Sir Garfield Sobers, Peter Schmeichel MBE, Damon Hill OBE, Peter Shilton OBE, Len Goodman and Jasper Carrott OBE.
Outcome
We attracted 50 sponsor brands and over 10,000 spectators to the event. 157,000 watched live on Sky Sports and we achieved a total overall coverage of 2,120,322,514 across all media.
