To increase awareness of Grosvenor’s Matchroom boxing sponsorship with an expert boxing personality as their social ambassador. To increase boxing fans’ use of Grosvenor Casinos facilities.
We carried out PR around the casinos’ entertainment and increased social engagement in order to boost engagement with boxing audiences. We secured Sky boxing pundit Johnny Nelson as ambassador for a two-month period of focused Matchroom activity. We wrote blogs around boxing matches, organised content alongside Grosvenor’s internal digital agency and assisted Johnny in takeovers of the Grosvenor Twitter account.
Social media engagement levels rose from 17% to 37% with 41% coming from a new user base. Our activity delivered an overall circulation of 3,120,291.
