We helped this family wholesale business identify the risk involved in persevering as a wholesale focused supplier to the traditional retail environment and to see the opportunity to transition their offering to a more consumer-direct model. To that point, HHJ had only targeted consumers in a relatively tame way as an online wholesaler via marketplaces, such as Amazon and Ebay. So, we created a framework and action plan for a ‘proof of concept’ exercise to be rolled out more aggressively and into new global markets, such as North America. At the same time, we created a three-year plan to help them deliver a direct-to-consumer brand and ecommerce platform, which they engaged us to build and run on their behalf.
